A Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer on Tuesday. The pilot ejected safely before the plane crashed. The accident occured during an operational training sortie, the first such incident involving the indigenously-built jet. In a brief statement, the Air Force said, "One Tejas aircraft of the Indian Air Force met with an accident at Jaisalmer, today during an operational training sortie.
